Make sure to go in and check out the inside of the boat – it is super historic and cool to see! If you can, request the table on the lower deck at the front of the boat. Eating homemade food on a boat with a view sounded pretty sweet to us! It was raining the day we went, but the boat has a covered area outside that we were able to sit under. Idler Riverboat & Dockside – Another seasonal restaurant on the Black River. Excellent food and service and the restaurant is located in a refurbished bank building, so the theme and ambiance are really unique! We decided it would be a fun place to hang out and get drinks without our kids.Ĭlementine’s – This is a restaurant you will definitely want to go back to. Unfortunately, it was not very kid friendly – really loud, no high chairs, and no kid’s menu. They also have a delicious morning bakery.ĭeGrandchamp Farms is South Haven’s largest blueberry U-Pick and farm market. It is a little market offering locally grown flowers, fruits, and vegetables. Wagon rides, a playground, a farm animal petting zoo, and a barrel train ride are some of the other fun activities on the farm.īarden’s Farm Market is very close to downtown South Haven. They also offer wildflower u-pick (July-October) and pumpkin u-pick (September-October). They also offer wagon ride farm tours.īumbleberry Acres is great for family fun on the farm! They are well-known for their u-pick blueberries and raspberries (July-September). They have a petting zoo full of friendly farm animals. The orchard has u-pick cherries, peaches, plums, pears, and apples. Overhiser Orchards is open daily from July 1-October 31 from 10 am-5 pm. There are a wide variety of orchards and farm markets in and around South Haven. ![]() We were really impressed by how many park and playground options there were in South Haven, and it is always much more fun for the parents when there is a view! It was kind of dirty and probably better for older kids, but our toddler still had a blast. ![]() Kids’ Corner is a big wooden playground with lots of opportunities for climbing and pretend play. There were some stairs across the street from the park leading down the sand dunes to beach access. Featuring exhibits on the history of South Haven, the beach and. South Beach does get busy though, so arrive early if you don’t want the playground to be super crowded. The South Beach playground is good for kids of all ages.
